The first night of Madonna's Celebration Tour is finally here, and the 65-year-old pop icon is ready to hit the stage to perform her career's greatest hits. On Oct. 14, the tour kicked off in London, and it was epic.
Naturally, everyone is freaking out because, hello, Madonna is performing some of her most famous hits from the 1980s. Plus, the performer's recent health scare (she was hospitalized for a bacterial infection back in June), caused a three-month delay to the start of her tour.
While she seems to be feeling better now, the singer did comment on the infection at her tour's first stop over the weekend, saying that her kids helped her push forward. "I have got to be there for my children—I have to survive for them,” she said, per Billboard.
In fact, five of Madonna's six children—Mercy James, David Banda, Lourdes, Estere and Stella—joined her on stage in London, per Billboard.
Madonna has been around for a long time, but with all of this big news about her new tour, it’s only natural to wonder about her massive net worth (hey, you’re human). For the record, Madonna has grossed an estimated $1.2 billion on the road in her career, per Forbes.

And if I had to guess, I'd say her next tour will probably bump that number even higher. In fact, Billboard estimates that she'll rake in at least $100 million from her current tour. Everyone will have to wait and see!
She started making it big in the 80s.
While she started out singing with small bands, Madonna first hit the mainstream music scene in the 1980s with clubby songs like "Everybody" and “Burning Up,” which were featured on her self-titled debut album. But Madonna's fame really blew up in the mid-80s with her second album, Like a Virgin, which featured a bunch of hits, like “Like a Virgin,” "Material Girl," “Angel,” and "Dress You Up,” according to her website.
Of course, the hits just kept coming after that.

Back in 2010, Madonna debuted her own fashion line, aptly called Material Girl. Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen was the face of the brand, according to Billboard. It seemed fairly popular at the time, so she probably earned a decent income from the venture.
However, it seems the line is not currently releasing any new styles—and hasn't since around 2020.

The singer owns about $80 million worth of real estate, according to Celebrity Net Worth. That includes homes in London, Beverly Hills, New York City, and Lisbon, Architectural Digest says.
