A donut shop in Red Hook, a second location for a beloved juice spot, a Mexican eatery in Beacon, and more make the season memorable.
Donuts are coming to Red Hook. Mighty Donuts will serve up their version of delicious fried dough treats, along with coffee, teas, and breakfast bites in the old Bottini Fuel building on South Broadway.
Vegan juice café and wellness bodega Little Rico (Hudson) is coming to Woodstock this fall; expect a similar menu but more space to chill. Beloved Indian restaurant Cinnamon (Rhinebeck) will also debut a second location in town on Deming Street.
Beacon’s Main Street welcomed authentic Mexican restaurant La Barbirria and Pillow & Oats Brewing. On Eliza Street, Beacon Coffee Co. & Mercantile is serving up java, espresso drinks, and iced teas, plus sweet and savory pastries.

Sip on classic cocktails and mocktails at Hemlock Cocktail Bar in Catskill. There’s also an upscale bar menu with Wagyu smash burgers and vegan chopped cheese (a vegan version of the NYC-style sandwich usually with beef, cheese, and vegetables).
Shop for fresh pasta and heavenly babkas at Flours Pasta & Bakeshop in Haverstraw. (Enjoy café bites, espresso drinks, and provisions, too.) Cooking classes are in the works.
Pet a kitten with one hand and sip a drink in the other at Beans Cat Cafe’s new New Paltz location. All cats are up for adoption!
Enjoy a taste of Marseille at Cenadou Bistrot (North Salem), an upscale, authentic French bistro with 45 seats and an open kitchen. We’ve heard rave reviews about the baked sea bass for two and the baba à l’Armagnac.

Farm-to-table dining comes alive at Rhinebeck’s Pretty To Think So. Standouts include the six types of oysters à la carte, an endive Caesar with crumbled goat cheese, scallop crudo, and nettle risotto—but we can’t get enough of the addictive caviar frites.

Sisters Leslie-Ann Sandford and Velene Nixon-Lawrence are whipping up juicy jerk chicken, oxtail, and festival (a light-but-crispy fritter) at Jamaican spot Yeah Mon in Walden.
