Astrid was the Senior Special Projects Editor at TripSavvy, where she edited travel guides and features as well as contributed news and destination stories. She joined TripSavvy in 2016 as the site's social media editor.

Astrid has over 10 years of experience as a writer, social media strategist, and video producer for news and brands, including ABC News, NBC, and Nickelodeon.

Bitten by the travel bug at a young age, Astrid is always looking forward to her next trip. She is a firm believer that spending time exploring a new country, city, or even neighborhood can change your life.

Experience

Before joining TripSavvy, Astrid was a brand strategist at the digital division of ABC News, assisting in ideating and producing digital stories and videos for both ABC News and Good Morning America. Prior to that, she was a copywriter on the SpongeBob SquarePants team at Nickelodeon, and assisted in the launch of the brand’s first ever international short film competition for passionate SpongeBob fans.

Astrid credits her love for travel to her parents, who dedicated every summer to family travel, from the coasts of eastern Canada to the beaches of South America. She was born, raised, and still lives in New York City.
