And this is certainly true of Fiji.
Although it is one of the most remote archipelagoes in the world, the number of recorded visitor arrivals for 2023 have now surpassed pre-pandemic levels and the country has experienced a robust tourism rebound rate.
Not surprising, given the island nation is considered to be one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world.
But Fiji has so much more to offer than just beautiful views. It is also known for its friendly people and interesting local traditions and culture.

Late October to December is considered the very best time of the year to visit Fij because during this period, the weather is dry, settled and warm.
From late December to early April is the wet season in the country. This means that you're likely to experience daily rain showers, but it also makes this the cheapest time to visit Fiji as well as the time with the lowest tourism crowd levels.

During the winter months the water temperatures in Fiji are wonderfully warm. They typically range from 26-28°C (79-82°F). This means that you can snorkel all day and the water will feel like stepping into a bath.

Snorkeling and scuba diving aren’t the only outdoor adventures that you can enjoy during your time in Fiji.
Hikers can trek through lush rainforests and along remote beaches. The Bouma National Heritage Park is one of Fiji's best nature reserves, and it is popular with both hikers and snorkelers alike.
Fiji is considered a surfers' paradise, and surfers travel from around the world to ride the famous Cloudbreak waves.
And its volcanic gorges mean that Fiji is a great place for riding white water rapids. The feeling of rushing down the thrilling Navua River is an adrenaline rush like no other.
Fascinating Culture
Fiji has the proud distinction of being the only country to hold UNESCO World Heritage status and as well as offering beautiful beaches it is also a great destination for cultural exploration.
Fiji is home to the largest temple in the Southern Hemisphere. Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami is a Hindu temple in the Fijian tourist hub of Nadi.
There are also a huge number of churches in Fiji which were built when visiting missionaries began converting Indigenous Fijians in the 1800s.
Because Fiji is such a multicultural destination there are many aspects of Fijian culture that visitors can be a part of.
These include the traditional fire walking ceremony, the Yaqona Ceremony, where travelers can try the traditional Fijan ceremonial drink, and the Meke which is a form of traditional dancing.
Beautiful Beaches
Finally if you’re looking for an easy fly and flop vacation then Fiji is still a great choice. The beaches are breathtakingly beautiful with snow-white sand and crystal-clear waters. You can sunbathe, relax, and swim in the sea.
All of Fiji’s islands boast beautiful beaches, and because the coastline is so expansive, it can be hard to pick the best ones.
Many of the beaches in Fiji are privately owned by resorts, and many travelers pick their resort based on the quality of its beaches.
Some of the best include Musket Cove on Malolo Lailai, Botaira Beach on the Yasawa Islands, and Seagrass Bay on Laucala Island.
