Best Nashville Brunch Spots

White Limozeen

Me on the patio at White Limozeen

Located in Midtown, White Limozeen is a must-visit for any Dolly Parton fan. The all-pink Parton-themed rooftop bar and restaurant is housed on the top of the Graduate Hotel. The hotel is one of my top recommendations for where to stay in Nashville, and I recently visited and reviewed the Graduate Nashville.

And, let me tell you, the photo opportunities are excellent here. Obviously, you shouldn’t choose a brunch place based on Instagram photo-ops, but the glamorous chandeliers, bright pink seats, and Dolly Parton statue are definitely eye-catching.

Not surprisingly, this popular brunch destination makes amazing cocktails, including bloody marys. I’d recommend starting off with the charcuterie board. Then, try some of the other most requested items like the caviar and soft scrambled egg toast or the french toast with sorghum caramel, creme anglaise, and apple.

👉 Pro Tip: Reservations open up 14 days in advance, and they fill up quickly. The outdoor patio is open to walk-ins, but I’d suggest planning to get reservations if possible.

Biscuit Love

Biscuit Love is incredibly popular breakfast spot that started off as a food truck and has since expanded to include two Nashville locations and two Franklin locations. No matter which location you visit, you’ll get to enjoy traditional Southern southern comfort food. Biscuit Love is particularly well-known for its buttermilk biscuits.

Biscuit Love is only open during the mornings and the beginning of the afternoon. It’s one of the few iconic brunch spots in Nashville that have more than just a weekend brunch.

Don’t skip out on ordering the bonuts (biscuit donuts with blueberry compote). Other great choices are the “Princess” which is hot chicken on a biscuit or the shrimp and grits.

Pancake Pantry

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 383-9333

Pancakes topped with powdered sugar and blueberries
Possibly the best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had

Pancake Pantry is a classic Nashville breakfast spot that first opened in Hillsboro Village in 1961. Based on the line that forms each weekend morning, it’s safe to say that Pancake Pantry is pretty popular. The line is usually shorter on weekdays.

The cozy restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. The menu features 23 different pancake flavors. You’ll find expected staples like buttermilk pancakes and more usual ones like sweet potato pancakes. The blueberry pancakes are my favorite. There are plenty of savory options including omelets, country ham, and avocado toast.

The location in Hillsboro Village has a lot of charm, but the location in Downtown Nashville is close to a lot of the best attractions in Nashville. Either way, the pancakes are delicious!

HEARTS

Hearts is an all-day breakfast spot with an Australian cafe atmosphere. The restaurant is so popular that there are now two Nashville locations: East Nashville and 12 South. Both restaurants have a cozy, welcoming vibe and are filled with plants.

The menu rotates to include seasonal ingredients. One of my favorites is the twice-cooked French toast. I’ve also tried the corn zucchini fritters and those are delicious as well. The quality of the food here is some of the best you’ll find anywhere in the city.

Both Hearts locations tend to be packed on the weekends, but the food is worth it. Also, it’s much easier to get a spot on a weekday rather than a weekend.

Ruby Sunshine

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (629) 210-3060

French toast with strawberries and whipped cream on a plate

The Nashville location of this New Orleans eatery is in Hillsboro Village not far from Belmont University. Ruby Sunshine has all the flavor and hospitality (as well as the cocktails) you’d expect from an all-day brunch spot that originated in New Orleans.

Their signature dishes include classic favorites like beignets and eggs cochon. One of my favorite dishes is the stuffed french toast.

Ruby Sunshine is right next to Pancake Pantry in Hillsboro Village. If the line is outrageous at Pancake Pantry, you can have a great breakfast at Ruby Sunshine instead.

Liberty Common

The cinnamon walnut buttermilk pancakes are my favorite at Liberty Common

Located in Downtown Nashville, Liberty Common’s weekend brunch draws both locals and visitors. The chic, trendy restaurant features classic Southern dishes with a French flair. The beautifully decorated dining room is the perfect location for a girls’ brunch.

The most popular brunch item at Liberty Common is waffle madame an homage to the classic French brasserie staple. The cinnamon walnut buttermilk pancakes and the fried chicken biscuit are also must-tries.

When the weather is nice, request a seat on the Parisian-style cafe patio. You’ll get to enjoy the city atmosphere along with your brunch.

Flora + Fauna

Flora + Fauna is a cute, plant-filled cafe located in Highland Yards in East Nashville. The space is tiny, so it doesn’t work well for a large group brunch, but it’s perfect for catching up with a friend or two. One of my favorite parts about eating here is how beautiful and bright the space is.

Flora + Fauna’s breakfast menu has popular favorites like biscuits and gravy plus fun seasonal twists like gingerbread pancakes during the winter. The menu is based on fresh, local ingredients when possible.

Butcher & Bee

The whipped feta is delicious for breakfast, lunch, or dinner

If you’ve read our guide to the best restaurants in Nashville, then you already know that Butcher & Bee is one of the best dining spots in Nashville. The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant’s devotion to using fresh local ingredients elevates its brunch menu to something truly amazing.

No matter what time of day you visit, you should always order the whipped feta. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu though. Get a mimosa or bloody mary, and order several dishes to share with the table. East Nashville’s Butcher & Bee is best enjoyed with a group of friends.

No one will judge if you come here for brunch, and then decide to return later for dinner.

Von Elrod’s Beer Hall

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 866-1620

Located in Germantown, Von Elrod’s Beer Hall is easily one of the top brunch options in Music City. Their Live Bluegrass Brunch takes place every Friday-Sunday. It features great music and an equally great brunch menu.

Don’t miss out on the hand-cranked breakfast sausage or the chicken fried chicken and biscuits. If you think you’re up to it try the B.A.M., the Big A** Mimosa that’s served in a liter stein. If you’re looking for a unique brunch experience you can only get in Nashville, this is the place.

Henrietta Red

$$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 490-8042

It’s never too early for oysters at Henrietta Red.

Henrietta Red is a seafood restaurant run by Nashville chef Julia Sullivan. It doesn’t disappoint no matter what time of day you visit. The Germantown restaurant shines in its devotion to using simple, fresh ingredients to create outstanding dishes.

Weekend brunch at Henrietta Red is best enjoyed with friends. Henrietta Red has a seasonally rotating menu. Sweet options like cinnamon rolls and monkey bread are always a good choice. You can also pick from savory treats like crab cakes, quiche, and shrimp salad.

And, of course, if you want to start your morning off with wood-roasted oysters, you can do that here.

Consider making reservations for brunch in advance. Sometimes you can get a walk-in spot, but this restaurant is one of the busiest brunch places in Nashville.

Urban Grub

$$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 679-9342

Located in 12th South, Urban Grub is a charmingly rustic restaurant that is loved by both tourists and locals for its dinner menu. But, the restaurant also serves a solid weekend brunch.

Urban Grub is best known for elevating simple, classic dishes into an amazing experience. The same is true of their brunch menu. Their menu is based around seafood and Southern food, and everything you order is likely to be good. The stuffed grub donuts are a must-try.

Also, if you haven’t gotten enough of Nashville’s hot chicken yet, then you can order it served on a waffle here.

Geist

$$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 920-5440

Three glasses of bloody mary cocktail in Geist

You shouldn’t choose a brunch spot based on atmosphere alone, but luckily this Germantown restaurant housed in a brick building from 1886 with a gorgeous interior has equally outstanding food. On weekends when the weather is good, you can even enjoy your brunch in the Champagne Garden at Geist.

Geist is one of my favorite locations for brunch in Nashville. You can’t go wrong with the cinnamon roll or avocado toast. Other popular favorites are the Geist burger, banana bread French toast, and fried beignets. With so many cocktail choices, a visit can easily turn into a boozy brunch if that’s what you’re looking for.

Lou Nashville

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 499-4495

Located in East Nashville, this European-inspired restaurant is quickly becoming a brunch favorite. The Lou Nashville’s ingredients are sourced locally, and its brunch menu looks very different than most places in Nashville.

There are sweet options like the daily pastry and the chocolate maple buckwheat pancakes, but the savory options are like nothing you’ll find anywhere else. Try the crispy potatoes or the fennel bacon.

There’s even a celeriac bacon option for vegetarians. The restaurant offers a wide variety of wine options to pair with your brunch, too.

If you are looking for a gourmet brunch experience, Lou Nashville is the place to go.

Loveless Cafe

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 646-9700

Located on the south side of Nashville, this traditional Southern cafe has been producing some of the best biscuits in Nashville since 1951. The neon signs at Loveless Cafe draw people from all kinds of backgrounds to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and good food.

The cafe excels at producing traditional fare. You’ll find breakfast classics like breakfast sandwiches, country ham, and fried chicken biscuits. The cinnamon raisin french toast is particularly delicious, but everything on the menu is a good choice.

The Loveless Cafe is located near the beginning of the Natchez Trace Parkways, one of the best day trips from Nashville.

Adele’s

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 988-9700

Adele’s is a farm-to-table restaurant located in the Gulch offers an enticing Saturday and Sunday brunch buffet. The delicious home cooking will keep you going for everything you have planned for the rest of the morning.

While the dishes at the brunch buffet vary somewhat, there’s no shortage of amazing dishes. You’ll see typical breakfast food like toasted bagels and scrambled eggs, but there’s so much more. You’ll also find a selection of salads, roasted meats, and vegetables as well as cured meats and seafood.

Milk and Honey

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 712-7466

At Milk and Honey, you’ll find favorites like avocado toast, brunch sandwiches piled with breakfast fare, and a daily selection of pastries. Chances are that you’ll have to wait for a table, but the quality of food is well worth the time.

Hawkers Asian Street Food

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 600-4762

Hawkers is already an East Nashville favorite, and the restaurant serves a solid weekend brunch. Expect to find classic Asian flavors with a twist.

The brunch menu is limited, but every item is outstanding. You’ll find plenty to love including the Korean fried chicken biscuits, coconut curry eggs benedict, and pandan kaya pancakes. They also offer bottomless mimosas and you can try a kimchi and house bloody mary. It’s a great meal for gathering with friends and getting the day off to a good start.

Sinema

Bottomless mimosas can be added to your bottomless brunch

Housed in the historic Melrose theater, Sinema offers guests a glamorous Saturday and Sunday brunch experience. The weekend brunch is so popular that reservations typically need to be made at least 2 weeks in advance.

Sinema offers a bottomless weekend brunch. You can request a variety of items and have as much as you want of each option. There’s fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, and even fruity pebbles french toast.

You can also add bottomless mimosas or bottomless bloody marys to your order. Sinema is not exactly a budget-friendly brunch experience, but it’s fun to experience a decadent brunch sometimes.

Big Bad Breakfast

$$ | Website | 📍 Google Maps | 📞 (615) 610-3403

Chef John Currence’s New Orleans-inspired breakfast place has a few locations across the south. The Nashville location is in Sylvan Park. It’s a Nashville neighborhood that is typically less visited by tourists. This makes it a great place to enjoy brunch in Nashville without the crowds.

At Big Bad Breakfast, the guiding idea is that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The servings definitely live up to that.

You’ll find hearty fare like breakfast wraps filled with scrambled eggs and sausage as well as omelets that come with a side of greens and fries. My personal favorite is the shrimp and grits.
