The Blueprint

An inside look at our cover star’s approach to design

Letter from the Editors

Whether you love decorating with lots of color or prefer a more muted palette, color means something to us all. It's a way to express our individuality, create our safe havens, and uplift our moods with just a single swatch.

No one believes in the power of color more than Tamron Hall. The celebration of color has always been in her DNA, she says, and it shows. As the Emmy Award-winning journalist kicks off season five of her hit talk show,The Tamron Hall Show, Tamron graciously takes us through her newly redesigned set (the happiest office we've ever seen), filled with personal touches and a to-die-for shoe closet.

Throughout the rest of the issue, we’ll teach you how to plan your own color palette, give you plenty of design inspo (even for those who only want to add a "pop" of color), and of course, teach you a few tricks along the way. Who thought the easiest way to add color to your space was through some carefully selected houseplants?

We hope you're inspired to add a new hue to your space as much as we are.

Final Sweep

I feel at this point that even if the show was canceled in that first year, I would’ve bet on myself, and nothing removes that satisfaction because that gives you the courage to bet on yourself again and again.
