Mia Ingui

Mia always knew decorating was her passion. Growing up, her eyes were glued to HGTV, watching infinite house flips and fixer-uppers magically turn from drab to fab. She took her role as lead decorator in her family home quite seriously, soon picking up other handy home skills, like painting from her mom and gardening from her dad.

After studying Journalism and Professional Writing as an undergraduate, she covered home decor and luxury lifestyle as an editorial intern at Unique Homes Magazine, a boutique publication based in Princeton, New Jersey. Her writing has been featured on NJ.com, Bay Magazine, and the blog of New York Women in Communications.

Mia became the editorial assistant for MyDomaine in the fall of 2020, covering the latest launches from home brands and writing decorating roundups for the ultimate design inspiration. She was promoted to Associate Editor in the spring of 2021 and began simultaneously editing for sister brand, The Spruce.

Mia manages a large group of freelance writers and assigns and edits monthly content. She manages the Cleaning Review Board, which reviews the latest cleaning content for accuracy, and works on special editorial projects.

When she's not at her desk, Mia is likely filming a social video for The Spruce, trying out a trending TikTok find, or reviewing products in our testing lab for shopping stories. When she is really not at her desk, she's likely overspending on Target's home decor, wandering a farmer's market, or picking up yet another houseplant that she doesn't have room for.
