Welcome back to Part 2 of my Utah Valley Parade of Homes 2021 recap! If you missed Part 1, you can look through all the amazing homes here. It was SO such an inspiring parade of homes that I have been so excited to show you guys!
This year, there was 26 incredible custom homes featured in the UV Parade of Homes and I toured probably around 20 of them. They were ALL so amazing and I’m still blown away by all the fresh design ideas, new trends and architecture. Since I don’t have room in today’s post to share FULL home tours of my favorite homes, I am sharing key spots in each home that stood out as fresh and new design ideas. Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing full home tours of our favorite homes, so let me know in the comment section what homes that you would like to see featured.
There were so many homes in this year’s tour that I fell in love with but the Heritage Custom Home house designed by Erin Hansen Design was hands down my personal favorite home on the tour. This 9,700 square foot Pacific modern mountain home took my breath away from the moment I drove up to the home nestled at the base of a beautiful mountain.
The architecture of this home was so unique and really beautifully designed. I loved the mix of materials on the exterior and the beautiful symmetry. I am loving limestone right now (it’s also very popular right now in new construction) and the stone mixed with the modern windows and wood siding was magical in person.
I knew immediately when I drove up and saw the house that I was in for a treat!
I was very lucky the day that I toured this home because Erin Hansen, the talented designer of the home was onsite and she personally gave me the tour, which was SO nice to get all the inside details straight from Erin herself.
The first room that I walked into after I walked into the home was this stunning vaulted office/dining space. This whole home has full windows in almost every room to bring in as much natural light as possible.
This breathtaking empire chandelier was made out suede or leather strips that was the perfect element for this space.
One of the cool and unique elements in this home was how they incorporated full windows in several of the long hallways. Natural light turns a boring long hallway into a beautiful walk.
The primary bedroom in this home was unbelievable! From the picked ceiling V groove to all of the natural light filing the space with large windows on all three sides of the huge primary suite.
The incredible mountain view looking out the windows was INSANE!! I can only imagine how amazing it would be to wake up to this gorgeous view every morning.
The living room in this home was so light and airy and I love the oak beam ceiling treatment in this space that helped to keep things cozy. I have never seen beams done like this before and it really looked stunning in the space.
The back porch and pool area of this home seriously took my breath away. Again, I LOVE the mix of exterior wood tones with the dark moody almost black trim.
Next up on the tour, I visited another incredible home built by Chatwin Homes nestled between the base of two mountains in Alpine, Utah. Just look at this beautiful limestone stone home and THAT view!!
Almost every home I toured on the UV Parade this year had some form of limestone on the exterior. This is a huge trend right now on exteriors and I really loved it mixed with board and batten and trimmed with the dark charcoal color on the Chatwin home.
I gasped when I walked out to the backyard! That view!! Wow!! Can you imagine the amazing view in the winter covered in snow?
This home is 11,000 square feet with 7 bedrooms and 7 baths! I loved the limestone fireplace in the great room as you first walk in mixed with the light off-white Benjamin Moore White Dove wall color carried through the whole home.
The natural light oak finish on the cabinetry and each side of the fireplace really added warmth and subtle contrast to the space. By the way, on this tour I saw a lot of light wood stained cabinetry in living rooms vs painted.
The large open kitchen/dining room combination was so light and airy. It’s hard to tell in the picture but this space was huge!!
The wide plank white oak floors in this home just popped in the kitchen surrounded by white. Can we talk about those counter stools?! I’m trying to find out who makes them.
Another trend I saw in this year’s UV parade was beautiful custom furniture pieces like custom made hutches, media cabinets and console tables. I loved this custom china cabinet that was painted with Benjamin Moore Smoke, one of my favorite blues!
In fact, his home had a lot of beautiful paint colors throughout that I just loved! Benjamin Moore Solitude painted on the loft shelving.
Benjamin Moore Phillipsburg Blue on the mudroom cabinetry. This color is a stunning color that I have loved for years because it always looks so good.
I especially loved the powder room in the Chatwin home. The cool hanging metal milk jug type pendants looked so interesting in this small space. Notice how they also carried the black back splash up higher than normal (likes like 10-12″)Â for a fresh look. I really love this idea!
Next up, I walked through the Raykon Construction stunning red brick home in the same neighborhood as the last Chatwin home I just shared.
I noticed several red brick exteriors on new construction in the Utah Valley during my trip and I thought it was so interesting to see this look.
The back of this home is absolutely incredible!! The architecture was truly a treat to see.

I absolutely loved the shade of the dark gray brown on the body and trim
One of my favorite spots in this home was the pantry. I loved how large it was and the layout. Mixing metal open wall shelving with closed cabinetry is such a beautiful combination.
I also really liked the dark moody “parlor” or office painted with Benjamin Moore Hale Navy. Hale Navy is pretty much the best navy out there and I have never seen a whole room done in this beloved color. Boy did it work! They even painted the ceiling!
As you can see, the Raykon home had a lot of very interesting spaces and rich colors. I loved the gorgeous shade of green on the gym walls! The color is Sherwin Williams Laurel Wood. It’s perfection!
Throughout the home, they used Sherwin Williams Useful Gray as the whole home color and I really liked it a lot! I have used Useful Gray on exteriors before and have never seen it as a whole home color. I took some shots of little corners where you can see the wall color best below.
Useful Gray is a ideal color if you want an off-white color on the wall but it has enough gray in the color to keep it from looking yellow or too warm. Great color to put on your radar for sure!
I also REALLY loved one of the guest bathrooms in the home below. I liked the pattern fabric mix with the dark green cabinetry. The wall tile is the perfect compliment in this space.
There is SOOO much more that I would love to share with you guys from this home but a lot of my pictures did not turn out very good because the house was so packed when I toured it. I’m going to reach out to Raykon team to see if they have pictures I can share for a full home feature. Stay tuned.
I have run out of room today on this post but I will be sharing more of my favorite homes in the coming weeks. If you missed Part 1 of my recap, you can see it here.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Cheers!
