Dana White addresses rumours of UFC signing Dillon Danis after MMA star loses Logan Paul grudge match

The Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace has been itching for a contract since even before his Logan Paul defeat

DANA WHITE has addressed speculation that the UFC could make a shock move for Dillon Danis.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Danis is currently a free agent following his release from Bellator earlier this month, which didn't come as a surprise as he hasn't fought in the promotion for four years.

Danis whipped up talk of a potential move to the UFC before and after his grudge boxing match with Logan Paul earlier this month.

Rumours of an imminent deal for the 30-year-old have continued to swirl on social media, although the prospect of adding him to the roster hasn't crossed the mind of White.

When pressed about signing the BJJ ace, he said: "I don't know, I haven't even actually thought about that."

Danis was on course to come up short in his Misfits melee with YouTube sensation Paul earlier this month via decision.

But he ended up being disqualified for trying an illegal guillotine choke in the final round, an act which sparked a mass brawl.

Danis' popularity on social media soared during the build-up to the fight, in which he relentlessly targeted Paul's fiancee Nina Agdal over her love life.

And the pal of former two-division champion Conor McGregor reckons his newfound star power would translate to some big numbers for MMA's top promotion.

He recently told Sun columnist Piers Morgan: “I want to go to the UFC.

"I think the UFC now will see my potential in selling fights and everything like that.

“Sign me. Let’s do it. Give me the biggest fight, give me anybody you want.

"Just don’t send anybody you want back. I’ll beat them all.

"And I want to prove what I’m saying is true, because it pissed me off that people don’t believe in me.

"So I want to go out there and I’ll fight any one of them.”
