SEGD’s Epic Celebration of 50 years
The 2023 SEGD Conference Experience Washington DC and 50th celebration that took place from August 22 – 26, 2023, was one of the world’s premier gatherings of multidisciplinary design professionals. This four-day event showcased the evolution and future of experience design—a discipline shaping how we interact with the world around us, driven by the belief that good design has a positive impact on people, spaces, and culture. Together, we form a progressive and passionate voice for the potential that experience design has to change our world.
This year’s event was the most significant historical gathering of SEGD members, Fellows, creators, and students. We welcomed over 700 attendees, by far the largest gathering in a decade, and raised a record-breaking $50,000 in auction funds to support our education initiatives, programs and member students. Our 50th celebration can only be described as the most epic event in recent history for SEGD and our community.
