PSA: It’s beanie season

The official Polygon beanie pairs well with a warm cup of autumnal tea

The official Polygon beanie is now available! So let’s take this moment to celebrate this special seasonal tradition.

You know it’s become fall when the leaves change, the apple cider flows at the farmer’s market, and the smell of artificial pumpkin lingers in every coffee shop. But there’s one annual marker of autumn time that doesn’t get enough credit: the switch from baseball cap to beanie.

Don’t trust us: true icons know the value of a good beanie:

As daylight becomes a precious commodity, and a chill takes the air, the beanie serves as the intermediary between a summer cap (to protect from sun) and a winter coat with a hood (to protect from cold). Thus, the beanie provides more comfort than protection from the elements — a cozy bit of warmth.

To help with your beanie needs, Polygon’s merch shop now offers four different beanies in olive, crimson, navy, and black.
