PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Ketua DPD PDIP Maluku Utara, Muhammad Sinen, meyebut kasus dugaan rasis yang melibatkan Ketua DPRD Malut Kuntu Daud bakal dihentikan.
Pasalnya, kasus yang saat ini ditangani penyidik Polda Malut itu diyakini tidak terbukti.
Meski demikian, Wakil Wali Kota Tidore ini menegaskan, apabila dalam proses hukum kemudian terbukti bersalah, tentunya ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap integritas pada momentum politik 2024 mendatang.
“Kalau memang dia terbukti secara hukum bersalah, maka berpengaruh juga terhadap pencalegan. Tapi kalau proses hukum kemudian dia stop, berarti beliau masih bisa,” tuturnya.
Sinen mengatakan, persoalan hukum yang menyeret Ketua DPRD Malut, PDIP tetap tunduk terhadap proses hukum yang berlaku.
“Sebagai Ketua DPD PDIP, saya meminta semua pihak bersabar dan menunggu hasil pemeriksaan. Sampai kalau memang dia terbukti hingga ke pengadilan dan terbukti bersalah, sebagai warga negara kita harus paham proses hukum ini,” ujarnya saat ditemui usai pendaftaran bakal calon legislatif PDIP di KPU Malut, Kota Ternate, Kamis (11/5).
Menurut dia, jika dilihat dari rekaman video, sangat yakin tak akan terbukti.
“Saya optimis proses hukum beliau (Kuntu Daud) di-SP3, karena saya lihat dari kasus penyebutan dia pada saat itu. Dia tidak sebut mereka,” pungkasnya. (ano/ask)
