PENAMALUT.COM, TOBELO – Seorang anak asal Desa Pediwang, Kecamatan Kao Utara, Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, berinisial KM (6 tahun), menderita meningoencefalitis atau radang
otak kembali dievakuasi oleh Tim Haji Robert Peduli Kesehatan Masyarakat (HRP
KesMas) untuk berobat di Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah (RSUP) Prof. Kandouw di Kota
Manado.
Evakuasi dilakukan terhadap pasien dan keluarga di bawa dari RSUD Tobelo ke Bandar
Udara Kobok yang dikelola PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals (PT. NHM) menggunakan helikopter milik NHM pada Jumat (24/3).
Anggota Tim HRP KesMas yang mendampingi pasien ke Manado, dr. Deddy Pranoto, mengatakan bahwa saat ini pasien sudah berada di RSUP Prof. Kandouw dan sedang dilakukan penanganan oleh tim
dokter di rumah sakit tersebut.
Pasien anak kecil ini sebelumnya dirawat di RSUD Tobelo selama empat hari setelah di bawa dari
rumahnya di Desa Pediwang. Selama di RSUD Tobelo, Tim HRP KesMas
juga mendampingi pasien dan keluarganya.
Deddy mengungkapkan, sebelumnya sudah dua orang sakit dari Halmahera Utara yang dievakuasi oleh
Tim HRP KesMas ke rumah sakit di Kota Manado, karena tim dokter di rumah sakit di Halmahera
Utara menyarankan agar pasien dirujuk ke rumah sakit lain untuk penanganan lebih intensif.
Tim HRP KesMas adalah tim yang dibentuk atas arahan Presiden Direktur PT. NHM, Haji
Robert Nitiyudo Wachjo untuk memastikan semua warga, terutama di lingkar tambang PT. NHM yang sedang sakit parah dan tidak memiliki akses pelayanan kesehatan agar mendapatkan
perawatan medis sebagaimana seharusnya.
Namun dalam perjalanannya, banyak juga masyarakat dari luar lingkar tambang yang memerlukan bahkan sudah sangat banyak orang sakit dari berbagai wilayah di Provinsi Maluku Utara yang juga
dibantu oleh Tim HRP KesMas.
“Bantuan ini sangat meringankan beban pasien dan keluarga.
Tidak sedikit yang harus dievakuasi dari tempat yang sangat jauh untuk sampai ke rumah sakit,” pungkasnya. (fnc)
