PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Komite Nasional Pemuda Indonesia (KNPI) Provinsi Maluku Utara ambil sikap terkait dengan langkah pemerintah menaikkan harga bahan bakar minyak (BBM). KNPI Maluku Utara dengan tegas menola kenaikan harga BBM dan mendukung sikap seluruh lapisan elemen yang menyuarakan penolakan kenaikan harga BBM.
Sekretaris KNPI Maluku Utara, M. Ardiansyah menuturkan, langkah pemerintah menaikkan harga BBM tentu akan berdampak juga pada tingginya harga barang dan jasa. Masyarakat kelas menengah ke bawah pasti sangat menjerit.
“Dampak dari covid-19 belum selesai dan ekonomi sangat sulit, pendapatan masyarakat juga sulit, kok sekarang harga BBM naik lagi. Sudah tentu masyarakat sangat mengalami kesulitan. KNPI Provinsi Maluku di bawah komando Ketua Irman Saleh tetap berjuang bersama dengan masyarakat,” jelasnya pada Nuansa Media Grup (NMG), Rabu (7/9).
Menurut Ardiansyah, jika situasi sudah sangat sulit seperti ini, maka BBM bersubsidi harus tepat sasaran. Artinya, BBM subsidi harus dinikmati nelayan, petani dan masyarakat kelas menengah ke bawah lainnya. Pemerintah sudah saatnya menghentikan subsidi BBM ke masyarakat kelas atas.
“Pemerintah tahu kondisi yang dialami masyarakat kelas menengah ke bawah ketika harga BBM naik. Sehingga itu, pemerintah harus pastikan BBM subsidi tepat sasaran,” harapnya.
Selain itu, Sekretaris KNPI juga meminta kepada aparat atau Satgas yang dibentuk di daerah untuk terus melakukan penelusuran guna memastikan terjadinya penimbunan BBM secara ilegal. Jika ditemukan, pelaku yang menimbun BBM secara ilegal itu harus ditindak secara tegas, supaya ada efek jera. (rii)
