PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Panitia Pelaksana Lomba Esai yang digelar oleh Gerakan Kebaikan bekerja sama dengan Partai Perindo Kota Ternate telah menjaring sebanyak 26 karya dari siswa dan 8 karya dari mahasiswa yang mendaftar.
Rencananya, seluruh karya itu akan dipresentasikan langsung oleh para peserta, Selasa (30/8) besok, di Kantor Perindo Kota Ternate yang terletak di Jalan Juma Puasa Kelurahan Santiong, Kota Ternate.
Lomba menulis esai bagi dua tingkatan berbeda ini mengangkat dua tema yang juga berbeda. Untuk tingkat SMA/SMK/Sederajat, tema yang diangkat adalah “Wawasan Kebangsaan Perspektif Anak Muda”. Sedangkan untuk tingkat mahasiswa tema yang diangkat adalah “Wawasan Kebangsaan Perspektif Pendidikan, Ekonomi, Sosial, Politik, Lingkungan dan Budaya”.
Tema soal wawasan kebangsaan yang digagas oleh Gerakan Kebaikan Kota Ternate berangkat dari semangat HUT RI ke-77 pada 17 Agustus 2022 yang hingga kini masih terasa.
“Kita juga mengedepankan literasi dalam kegiatan ini. Harapannya, tentu untuk meningkatkan budaya literasi di kalangan siswa maupun mahasiswa,” ucap Koordinator Gerakan Kebaikan Kota Ternate, Erwin Umar, Senin (29/8).
Anggota DPRD Provinsi Maluku Utara ini menambahkan, telah dua kegiatan yang ia gelar dalam rangka memeriahkan HUT RI ke-77. Yaitu lomba cerdas cermat dan lomba menulis esai. Bagi dia, dua lomba ini punya muatan yang sangat positif bagi para peserta didik.
“Banyak lomba di setiap 17 Agustus yang tentunya punya muatan yang positif, tapi kami lebih memilih dua mata lomba ini karena berkaitan dengan ilmu pengetahuan,” sambung Erwin.
Lomba menulis esai yang digelar oleh Gerakan Kebaikan tidak hanya diikuti oleh siswa yang ada di Kota Ternate, beberapa siswa SMA dari Kota Tidore Kepulauan juga turut berpartisipasi pada lomba. Ke depan nanti, Erwin berharap lomba seprti ini dapat menyentuh kabupaten dan kota yang lebih banyak lagi. (kep)
