Pengurus DPD PJS Maluku Utara Resmi Dikukuhkan

PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Pengurus Dewan Pimpinan Daerah Perhimpunan Jurnalis Siber (DPD PJS) Maluku Utara, masa bakti 2022-2027 resmi dikukuhkan.

Pengukuhan oleh Ketua DPP PJS Mahmud Marhaba ini berlangsung di Mozaik Kafe, Kelurahan Kayu Merah, Kecamatan Ternate Selatan, Rabu (3/8).

Ketua DPP PJS Mahmud Marhaba dalam sambutannya menyampaikan, hingga kini Perhimpunan Jurnalis Siber sudah tersebar di 23 provinsi. Karena itu, organisasi profesi jurnalis ini memiliki kepentingan untuk menjadikan wartawan berkompeten, sehingga tidak lagi dianggap sebagai wartawan bodrex atau wartawan abal-abal.

“Jangan ada lagi diskriminasi terhadap pekerja pers di tanah air. PJS siap melucuti stempel wartawan bodrex dan abal-abal yang selama ini diberikan kepada mereka yang belum berkesempatan ikut uji kompetensi wartawan (UKW). Inilah yang menjadi program utama di bidang pendidikan dan pelatihan,” tegas Mahmud.

Sementara, Ketua DPD PJS Munawir Yakub menambahkan, setelah DPD PJS Malut dikukuhkan, dalam waktu dekat pihaknya akan membentuk pengurus cabang di 10 kabupaten kota sebagai wujud dari konsolidasi organisasi.

Selain itu, kata dia, hal ini juga dapat memberi dukungan kepada pemerintah daerah lewat sosialisasi program kerja melalui pemberitaan.

“Kami berharap DPD PJS Malut menjadi wadah yang melahirkan wartawan profesional dan mampu memberikan dampak positif,” harap Munawir.

Sekadar diketahui, turut hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut yakni, Kepala Dinas Kominfo Malut Iksan R.A Arsad, Karo Kepala Biro Administrasi Pimpinan Setda Malut Rahwan K. Suamba, Pembina PJS Malut Farizal Magrib dan Koordinator PJS Indonesia Timur Rahman Mustafa. (ano/tan)
