Laga Persebaya melawan Bali United pada Senin (20/6) malam lalu merupakan debut perdana Riswan H. Lauhin. Pesepak bola asal Halmahera Selatan ini dipercayakan pelatih Persebaya, Aji Santoso, untuk tampil full dalam pertandingan tersebut.
Mengenakan nomor punggung 44, pria 23 tahun itu tampil gemilang sejak pertandingan babak pertama hingga babak kedua usai. Meski Persebaya mengalami kekalahan dan hanya menempati juru kunci pada fase grup Piala Presiden, namun Pelatih Aji Santoso memuji penampilan Riswan.
Tepat pada Kamis (23/6) kemarin, putra kelahiran Sebelei, Kecamatan Makean Barat itu resmi menandatangani kontrak bersama bajul ijo, sebutan Persebaya Surabaya, untuk tiga musim ke depan. Pemain dengan posisi center back ini akan mengisi skuad Aji Santoso pada Liga 1 musim 2022 nanti.
Riswan kepada Nuansa Media Grup (NMG) mengatakan, kontrak awal yang diberikan manajemen Persebaya selama tiga musim itu terhitung sejak tahun 2022 hingga 2025. Namun semua itu tergantung dari debut atau menit bermain yang diberikan.
“Kalau performa di dalam lapangan itu baik, akan dinilai oleh coach dan manajemen. Kalau mainnya bagus, gaji dan sebagainya bisa naik,” ujarnya saat dihubungi NMG.
Riswan menceritakan saat dipercayakan tampil perdana melawan Bali United yang berlangsung di Stadion Si Jalak Harupat Bandung, pada malam itu, pelatih maupun asisten nampaknya masih ragu-ragu. Namun karena pada laga terakhir Piala Presiden itu keputusan pelatih harus merotasi pemain dan memasukkan Riswan dalam starting lineup.
“Saya dipercayakan turun, tapi itu masih ada keraguan juga dari asisten maupun pelatih. Tapi mau tidak mau harus turun. Dan Alhamdulillah dengan kepercayaan diri, saya mampu memberikan yang terbaik buat tim,” tuturnya.
Debut perdana Riswan ini mendapat pujian dari pelatih. Alhasil, ia dipercayakan bermain hingga laga usai. Setelah dari Bandung, ia mendapat kabar bahwa akan dikontrak.
“Debut pertama saya itu juga dipuji Coach Aji Santoso. Dia (Aji) menyampaikan penampilan saya luar biasa. Sangat ngotot, karena pada saat pertandingan pertama itu jatuh bangun di kotak penalti lawan saat merebut bola,” katanya.
“Sebagai seorang center back tugasnya harus ngotot. Saya harus tetap semangat, karena sebagai benteng terakhir atau pemain belakang tim harus mampu menepis serangan lawan. Makannya saya disalut usai laga itu. Coach Aji juga bangga pada penampilan pertama saya itu dan merasa puas,” sambungnya.
Penampilang gemilang ini tidak hanya mendapat pujian dari pelatih maupun manajemen Persebaya, Riswan juga mendapatkan apresiasi yang luar biasa dari suporter Persebaya dan masyarakat Surabaya.
Pujian ini bagi Riswan merupakan penyemangat untuk tetap tampil terbaik pada laga-laga berikutnya. Ini juga tidak terlepas dari doa kedua orang tua dan keluarga. Ia tidak merasa puas dan akan terus berusaha memberikan yang terbaik buat dirinya maupun tim yang dibela.
