PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Sejumlah perhotelan di Kota Ternate yang belum memiliki Instalasi Pembuangan Air Limbah (IPAL) mendapat sorotan dari DPRD Kota Ternate.
Ketua Komisi III DPRD Kota Ternate, Anas U. Malik kepada wartawan Nuansa Media Grup (NMG) mengatakan, pihaknya menaruh perhatian serius terkait sejumlah hotel di Ternate yang tidak memiliki IPAL. Oleh karena itu, Komisi III DPRD Ternate akan mengundang pihak Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Ternate untuk diminta penjelasan soal sejauh mana pengawasan terhadap beberapa badan usaha yang tidak memiliki IPAL.
“Kami akan memanggil DLH untuk dimintai penjelasan tentang berapa banyak hotel yang tidak memiliki IPAL. Karena itu juga sangat berdampak terhadap pencemaran lingkungan,” ujarnya, Jumat (18/3) tadi.
Kemudian terkait gedung Plaza Gamalama Modern, kata Anas, pihaknya akan mendorong Pemerintah Kota Ternate agar sebelum beroperasi, gedung Plaza Gamalama Modern tersebut itu sebaiknya harus disiapkan IPAL-nya.
“Kami juga berharap pihak DLH harus lebih serius dalam melakukan pengawasan terhadap sejumlah gedung pemerintahan maupun swasta yang belum memiliki IPAL ini,” harapnya.
Politisi Golkar bikang, IPAL menjadi syarat beroperasinya sebuah badan usaha. Ketika IPAL belum ada, namun badan usaha sudah beraktivitas, maka itu perlu dipertanyakan.
“Maka dalam minggu ini juga, secepatnya kami akan minta pihak DLH penjelasan terkait hal itu,” pungkasnya. (udy/ask)
