PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Maluku Utara (UMMU), Prof. Saiful Deni menanggapi pernyataan sejumlah dosen yang menamakam diri forum dosen dan pegawai UMMU terkait tuntutan kenaikan gaji.
Menurutnya, tuntutan beberapa oknum dosen terhadap kenaikan gaji, pihaknya sudah melakukan rapat dengan pihak yayasan sesuai mekanismenya. Dalam rapat dengan yayasan itu diputuskan bahwa tuntutan kenaikan gaji ini tidak bisa lantaran persoalan kondisi pandemi dua tahun ini dan kondisi mahasiswa.
Meski demikian, kata Rektor, pihaknya sudah menaikkan tunjangan fungsional dosen, dan ini lebih baik dari pada gaji.
“Tuntitan ini tidak dipenuhi kemudian mereka layangkan ke Disnaker. Saya tidak hadir di Disnaker, karena itu hanya mediasi, bukan putuskan untuk naik gaji,” ujarnya saat dihubungi wartawan, Senin (9/8).
Saiful juga menyebut sejak tahun 2019, pihaknya sudah menaikkan gaji dosen maupun seluruh pegawai secara keseluruhan. Bahkan pada Juli 2021 kemarin, pihaknya juga menaikkan tunjangan fungsional dosen.
“Tidak mungkin kita naikkan tiap bulan. Saya lihat ini bukan soal kenaikan gaji lagi, tapi saya lihat ada niat yang lain. Saya perhatikan begitu, makanya mereka desak terus,” tuturnya.
Soal ketidakhadirannya pada mediasi yang dilakukan di kantor Disnaker Malut, ini karena sudah ada kesepakatan dengan pihak yayasan bahwa untul gaji sementara belum bisa dinaikkan. Sehingga itu, dirinya memilih mewakilkan kuasa hukumnya.
“Kita tidak bisa memaksa kenaikan gaji ini. Sebab kita ini di bawah yayasan. Kalau sudah diputuskan yayasan seperti itu, lantas kita mau buat apa. Kemudian yayasan ini nonprofit. Artinya kalau mampu kita naikkan, kalu belum, maka kita tidak bisa naikkan,” tandasnya.
Sehingga itu, kata dia, jika tahun ini tidak bisa dinaikkan, maka nanti dilihat pada tahun depannya.
“Nanti kita lihat kondisi. Kalau bisa naik, maka kita naikkan. Hanya saja teman-teman dosen ini emosi atau bagaimana, sehingga jadi begini,” tukasnya.
Ia menguraikan, untuk dosen yang sudah tersertifikasi dosen (serdos) gajinya di atas 5 juta. Artinya sudah di atas upah minimum provinsi (UMP).
“Nah ini itu apakah kita tidak perhatikan. Kalau dosen yang malas itu tidak kreatif. Dosen yang belum serdos memang gajinya di bawah UMP. Kalau sudah serdos ya diatas 5 juta. Gaji itu harus dilihat total pendapatannya,” terangnya.
Ia juga telah memanggil para pegawai dan memberi tahu bahwa yang rajin bakal dinaikkan insentifnya.
“Jadi memang kita sudah sepakat untuk sekarang gaji dosen belum dinaikkan. Artinya ini kemungkinan tahun depan bisa naik. Jadi dosen pemalas itu yang bikin masalah. Yang jelas lagi saya tidak bersembunyi,” pungkasnya menutup. (ask)
