PENAMALUT.COM, SANANA – Pemerintah Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula melalui Dinas Pendidikan berencana memberlakukan sekolah gratis di tahun 2022. Ini dilakukan agar meringankan beban orang tua maupun wali murid ditengah pandemi Covid-19.
Pelaksa Tugas (Plt) Kadis Pendidikan Sula, Rifai Haitami saat ditemui wartawan, Sabtu (7/8) mengatakan skema pemberlakukan pendidikan gratis di sekolah SD maupun SMP melalui Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS).
“Dengan dana BOS, kita bisa berlakukan sekolah gratis,” ujarnya.
Ia bilang, dana BOS bisa dipakai untuk membelanjakan tiga macan seragam sekolah, yakni seragam merah putih untuk SD dan putih biru untuk SMP, olahraga, dan pramuka.
Selain itu, Rifai menambahkan tahun depan siswa baru punya seragam sekolah sudah menjadi tanggung jawab pihak sekolah.
Seragam sekolah yang digratiskan ini hanya pada sekolah SD dan SMP. Sebab, hanya SD dan SMP yang mendapat dana BOS. Sementara, sekolah TK/PAUD tidak bisa digratiskan pakaian seragamnya.
“TK/PAUD tidak bisa kita gratiskan pakaian seragamnya, karena sekolah itu tidak mendapat dana BOS. Anggaran mereka kecil, jadi kita tidak bisa kasih gratis. Untuk TK/PAUD ini diluar dari seragam saja yang kita gratiskan,” tukasnya.
Ia juga menegaskan seluruh sekolah di bawah pengawasan Diknas Kepsul, tidak bisa melakukan pemungutan pada siswa, seperti pengambilan raport maupun pengambilan ijazah.
“Dulu pengambilan raport dibayar, begitu juga ijazah. Tahun depan kita gratiskan semua, sehingga sekolah tidak boleh lagi pungut biaya kepada siswa,” jelasnya.
Kebijakan pendidikan gratis yang akan diberlakukan pada tahun 2022 itu, kata Rifai, sesuai dengan visi-misi Bupati Fifian Adeningsi Mus dan Wakil Bupati Saleh Marasabessy (FAM-SAH).
“Tentu kebijakan ini demi mewujudkan masyarakat Sula Bahagia sesuai slogan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati,” pungkasnya. (ish/ask)
