PENAMALU.COM, TERNATE – Badan SAR Nasional (Basarnas) Ternate resmi menutup operasi pencarian terhadap satu korban kapal KM Karya Indah yang terbakar di perairan Lifmatola, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula, 29 Mei 2021 lalu.
Kepala Basarnas Ternate, Muhammad Arafah menyampaikan bahwa detelah melakukan pencarian selama 7 hari, tim SAR gabungan belum juga menemukan tanda-tanda keberadaan korban atas nama Dedi Hidayat.
“Sesuai SOP, pencarian terhadap korban hanya dilakukan selama 7 hari. Berdasarkan hasil koordinasi tim Sar gabungan dengan pihak keluarga, hari ini pukul 16.00 WIT operasi SAR kapal terbakarnya KM Karya Indah secara resmi ditutup,” jelas Arafah dalam konferensi pers sore tadi (4/6).
Dengan demikian, 282 penumpang KM Karya Indah dinyatakan selamat dan satu orang dinyatakan hilang.
“Terima kasih kepada seluruh stakeholders yang terlibat dalam pencarian tersebut. Masyarakat Kepulauan Sula juga sangat membantu pencarian dan evakuasi korban. Dengan telah ditutupnya operasi sar ini maka seluruh unsur yang terlibat dikembalikan ke kesatuannya masing-masing,” terangnya.
Terpisah, pihak kepolisian Polda Malut juga telah menetapkan empat orang dari pihak kapal KM Karya Indah sebagai tersangka. Ini setelah status kasus tersebut ditingkatkan dari penyelidikan ke penyidikan. Polisi juga telah memeriksa 20 orang saksi.
Kemungkinan calon tersangka bisa bertambah. Polisi kini masih menunggu hasil penyebab kebakaran dari tim laboratorium forensik. (Red)
