PENAMALUT.COM, JAILOLO – Bupati Kabupaten Halmahera Barat, James Uang, yang juga Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Cabang (DPC) Partai Demokrat Kabupaten Halbar meresmikan kantor Sekretariat DPC Partai Demokrat sekaligus membagikan santunan.
Pembagian santunan itu berupa sembako sebanyak 100 paket yang diberikan kepada 50 anak yatim dan 50 janda sekaligus buka puasa bersama di kantor sekretariat DPC Demokrat yang berlokasi di Desa Acango, Kecamatan Jailolo, Selasa (20/4).
Pada kesempatan itu, Bupati James menyampaikan bahwa dengan kantor sekretariat ini memberikan ruang bagi pengurus dan anggota partai DPC Demokrat Halbar agar bisa bekerja.
“Lewat tempat ini, kami bisa berdiskusi merumuskan program-program. Tentu sejalan dan sinergi dengan program pemerintah daerah,” ujarnya.
Sementara pembagian santunan Ramadan, kata mantan anggota DPRD Halbar itu, merupakan bagian dari bentuk kebudayaan demokrat di bulan Ramadan.
“Walaupun sedikit-sedikit, kita dapat berbagi rezeki kepada orang-orang yang berhak menerimanya,” katanya.
Menurutnya, ini baru pertama kali dilakukan pembagian santunan Ramadan. Harapannya dengan adanya peresmian ini, dirinya selaku ketua DPC mengharapkan segera melakukan langkah-langkah konsolidasi dan pembentukan ketua-ketua PAC di tingkat kecamatan sampai tingkat ranting.
“Jadi paska peresmian ini akan dilanjutkan dengan pembentukan ketua PAC di kecamatan yang belum ada sampai di tingkat ranting, sehingga ke depan partai bisa menambah kursi DPRD yang ada di Halbar,” tutupnya. (*)
