Air fryers are hotter than ever right now and for good reason: they're just so gosh darn good. Those who don't want to splash out on a Ninja air fryer can always try one of the cheaper alternatives, as long as the reviews are good - including this one from Uten. They've knocked 29 per cent off the price of this air fryer, which has has 12 present menus and over 4700 five star reviews online.
The Uten Air Fryer 1500W Oven was £78.41 but has been reduced to £56.66 as part of a site-wide sale on electronics. Fans have been raving about chicken that is "cooked to perfection" using the device. It's also available on eBay for £79.99.
Uten's gadget can roast, fry or bake a variety of foods from pork ribs to corn on the cob using a hot air circulation system. There is an LCD display and touch screen control too.
You can manually set the temperature and timer on the Uten Air Fryer, but once it reaches a temperature greater than 240C it will automatically enter the standby mode as a safety device. There is a double-layer heat-resistant tempered glass door to retain heat within the fryer. It has a 10L capacity big enough for a roast chicken as well as a selection of other foods with individual settings:
- Very long selection interval: bread function 2 ～ 8min, defrost function 10 ～ 45min.
- Extremely wide temperature control range: 25 ～ 60C for defrosting, 80 ～ 200C for other cooking functions.
Shoppers seem to love the air fryer, leaving over 4700 five star reviews on Amazon - an improvement of 200 positive reviews since we last covered the air fryer in September. One foodie said: "I work as a chef so very often it's essential for me to make a tasty, healthy and quick meal after long hours shift and it's exactly what I find in this item to help me out on a daily basis."
Another person, concerned with the cost of living crisis, said: "Start of energy prices going up so I thought I would give an air fryer a try. So glad we did. Rotating basket very good for fries."
A third person wrote: "Got this for my daughter, she loves it, chicken cooked to perfection on the spit. Great for the price, would recommend it."
Finally, another reviewer called it the "best thing" they ever bought. However, some shoppers commented that the fan was quite loud on the device.

Others found it tricky to clean. One person wrote: "The basket isn't the easiest thing to clean but all other removable items are." But one shopper found an easy solution, by purchasing some aluminium sheets to use on the tray.

Elsewhere on the market, there is a Russell Hobbs Dual Basket Air Fryer worth £199.99 that is now £134.95 on Amazon. It has a smaller capacity at 8.7L and just seven cooking settings.
The Russell Hobbs product has an average 4.6 out of five stars rating, from 1,224 customer reviews. Seventy four per cent of those reviewers gave five stars. Tower's T17023 Air Fryer Oven is also sold on Amazon, with a 30 minute timer and 2.2L capacity. It costs just £49.99 and has great reviews.
