Coleen Rooney's The Real Wagatha Story is set to be released on Wednesday (October 18) in a hotly-anticipated original documentary on Disney+. The three-part series focuses on the high-profile defamation case that made headlines in 2022.

And with Disney+ raising their prices very soon, if you want to lock in a cheaper price you can take advantage of their offer that ends on October 31. Otherwise known as the 'Wagatha Christie' case, the scandal first unfolded in 2019 when Coleen Rooney accused Rebekah Vardy of leaking information about her private life to the press. Coleen, 37, went on to make a bombshell claim in a now famous post.

Taking to social media, she stated: "I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account."

In response, Rebekah Vardy launched a libel case against Coleen, with the high-profile court case taking place in May 2022. The case ended with Rebekah losing. She was ordered to pay Coleen £1.5 million.

Now, Coleen, who is married to former England footballer Wayne Rooney, reveals all as the documentary looks at the jaw-dropping libel case that gripped the nation in 2022. The story will be told through exclusive access to the woman at the heart of it all, alongside interviews with her family and legal team involved in the resulting trial.

A synopsis of the series on Disney+ reads: "Uncovering one of the biggest tabloid news stories in Britain for the last decade, it reveals how Coleen turned amateur online sleuth to find an explanation for why private stories concerning herself and her family continued to appear in the media.

"It examines the circumstances that led to her infamous Instagram post that ‘broke the internet’ all the way to Coleen successfully defending herself in one of the UK’s highest-profile High Court defamation cases of recent years. As well as the case itself, it will explore how Coleen has had her life played out in public for the last 20 years."
