A young man who was killed in a serious crash in Hackney in September has been named for the first time by the police. Harry Webb, aged 27, was living in Hackney when he was cycling in Kenworthy Road shortly before 8pm on Sunday, September 10.

The man, originally from Powys in Wales, was seriously injured in a crash with a car. The driver of the car then hit another car.

Mr Webb was rushed to hospital with severe injuries, but died two days later on Tuesday, September 12. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

An investigation was launched by detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit. The driver of the car – a 24-year-old woman – was arrested and has been bailed, pending further enquiries, to a date in early December.

The Metropolitan Police have also released three photos of Mr Webb. One of the pictures shows him at a wedding, wearing a suit and his distinctive red glasses. There's also a selfie of him in the mountains, and finally a photo of him in a coffee shop, enjoying a coffee and smiling into the camera.
