River Island have released a dupe of a £1,100 Gucci cross-body bag - and it comes in four colours. The Monogram Cross Body Bag looks way more expensive than it is, giving the right level of chic for a restaurant date or your Christmas party.
The bag - which comes in beige, black, grey, pink - costs just £30 and is one size fits all. It comes with an adjustable strap for various body types and the tassel, which adds a little camp flare, can be taken off too.
The main pocket can be fastened using a zip and the inner lining is made from 100 per cent recycled material. The design is quite similar to Gucci's Monogram-pattern brand-plaque canvas cross-body bag that costs £1,100 from Selfridges.
The gorgeous unisex bag oozes style and is made from 100 per cent canvas and leather trims. It also has a similar pattern to the Gucci Horsebit 1955 canvas shoulder bag, which goes for £2,220 from Selfridges.
Elsewhere, New Look shoppers found a dupe of a very popular £2,750 Celine bag. The Khaki Leather-Look Cross Body Bag shares the same leather-look and adjustable strap, as well as the recognisable gold clasp.
It currently has a 4.9 out of 21 reviews. One person said: "I’ve seen many bags similar to this but I have to say this is the best one! It has a button fastening rather than a clasp so I don’t have to worry about it becoming loose or faulty like some other dupes." However, a more mixed reviewer wrote: "Had to return as did not like the way the bag closed. Needed a zip finish this style did not suit me."
