Vince
McMahon vs Hulk Hogan. Behind the scenes even more
interesting than wrestling match
It's
November 2017, and already WWE pro wrestling (sports
entertainment) fans and news media are already speculating
wildly about the card and angles (major occurrences)
that one should expect at WrestleMania 34.
More
importantly, in the short term, WWE top brass and
bookers such as Vince McMahon, Michael Hayes, Pat
Patterson, Road Dogg (Brian James) and a select few
others, are scratching their heads as to who or what
(more likely a combination of) will give the WWE television
ratings and live crowd attendance a much needed lift.
As
in all forms of business, sports entertainment involves
elements of risk. In-ring risk, training risk, and
risk of how storylines and new and returning talent
will be received. You get the idea.
Not
all pro wrestling returns are a romance made in heaven.
You could ask Dave Bautista about that, and perhaps
former WWE talent CM Punk may given an interesting
response to his last return to the WWE ring. Some
returns go even better than expected, as such was
the case for Bill Goldberg, who enjoyed a stellar
feud and solid matches with 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar.
Most
of the modern world is aware of the hot water that
Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Gene Bollea) got himself
in over racist type comments et al that he made years
ago, as he was going through a traumatic time in his
storied life.
Former
WWE diva Paige also had her own scandal to wrestle
with involving a video camera and a few fellas.
Our
long time friend Jake 'The Snake' Roberts has fought
and beaten his own demons - namely those concerning
drugs and alcohol, and many insiders consider Robert's
to be one of the very best wrestling minds and promo
men of all time. A solid worker, but it was his delivery
of words and wrestling psychology that put him on
the map. Robert's was a total package type of wrestler
that drew fans to a arenas, and had a mesmerizing
effect on television viewers. Interestingly, lately
Roberts made a few public comments about what Ric
Flair may consider to help keep his life on track.
Personalities,
not technical wrestlers...
PERSONALITIES
and LEGENDS are what the WWE needs right now for a
multitude of reasons. Whether you are 20, 40 or 60
years old, you have probably seen just about all the
pro wrestling holds and moves you would ever want
to. Shout out to McMahon's classic line 'What a maneuver".
A
combination of Hogan, Johnson, Paige, Roberts, Michaels,
DDP and Hayes will give the WWE the shot in the arm
that it needs.
Again,
TV ratings and crowd attendance has not be so good
in American and overseas markets, so if they wish
to try new things and tactics the time is now.
Kudos
on the WWE and ESPN on the Ric Flair 'Nature Boy'
30 for 30 documentary. It delivered worldwide news
and buzz that the WWE machine needed, and its now
time to follow up as we head into major events such
as NXT War Games, WWE Survivor Series and WrestleMania.
Rumor
has it that ESPN will next look at documentaries on
Andre The Giant, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan.
Timing and public perception, and a green light from
Mr. McMahon and other top brass will all figure into
that equation.
Stay
tuned for the continuation on this Media Man exclusive.
You won't want to miss it fans.

'The Snake' Roberts could be a welcome addition in

The world continues to loose legends. Hogan return
may be timely. Hogan, Ric Flair and Vince McMahon
himself are no angels. WWE Attitude Era mark II may
be in the wings. Hogan needs to stay clear of trouble.
Roman
Reigns and cousin Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Johnson
recently tweeted that Reigns needs a kick up the rear.

Shawn
Michaels, Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Michaels has ruled
out a wrestling match. He will make at least one special

Sammartino vs 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper. RIP Roddy. Could
a one-off Sammartino live appearance help the promotion?
Michael
PS. Hayes. Could a Hayes live performance of Badstreet
USA or Freebird Road be best for business?
