Are you a business owner in Maroubra? A new meet-up group for locals interested in exchanging business ideas might be worth checking out.

Each Friday morning a group of local entrepreneurs gather at Chalk Espresso Bat to work, exchange ideas and support each other.

Organiser Greg Tingle came up with the networking idea after a series of unfortunate life events left him feeling isolated and in need of a space work to work in a less stressful environment.

He said has has received an overwhelming positive response from early attendees.

"I and many find the ocean very therapeutic and having the group at Maroubra Beach also means members can have a swim or a surf before or after the business networking group, and Maroubra is a very warm and caring community."

Funky Funk owner Rob Will welcomed the new venture. "I'm now also joining the Maroubra Chamber of Commerce business network," he said.

Alfred Bellanti said: "The energy and output from Greg Tingle the Group Organiser is immeasurable".

The meeting kicks off at 10am each Friday at Chalk.
