'Angry Birds' Coming to PlayStation VR2 in New 'Isle of Pigs'

According to a new release sent to Lifewire, Resolution Games, the developers of Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs have gone all out in creating the latest installment of the Angry Birds franchise. Included in this new VR version are updated graphics, improved lighting, new visual effects, and maybe best of all, an online level builder.

According to the press release, this is the first time the online level builder is available on a PlayStation game. It lets you create and share levels you create, or you can "explore the more than 20,000 custom levels that have already been shared by the player community, with more levels added every day to offer near-infinite replayability."

And those community-created levels? They might be worth checking out.

“While we’re proud of the 104 levels that we made for Isle of Pigs, the quality of content created by the player community has surpassed our wildest expectations,” said Tommy Palm, Founder and CEO of Resolution Games. “It’s been incredible to see the kinds of challenges that players have been able to create once we opened up the game design toolbox to them. There’s a staggering amount of original content that has been built and shared since the first release of the Online Level Builder on other platforms — and starting today, that same content is available on PS VR2."

Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs is available on the PlayStation Store for $19.99, but only for PlayStation VR2 owners. And if you already have the game for the original PlayStation VR, you can upgrade for just $9.99.
