Evergy Hosts First Annual Supplier Diversity Week

Kansas City, MO - October 20 - Evergy will hold its first ever Supplier Diversity Week, October 30 – November 3. The marquee event of the week will be the Supplier Diversity Summit, Wednesday, November 1 at our Downtown Kansas City headquarters, 1200 Main.  

This free event offers a day of supplier education, networking and will highlight Evergy’s community impact. The summit is designed to impact small, local and diverse suppliers for business growth and development and will provide access to Evergy business professionals. Attendees can register here.   

"Supplier diversity means a better bottom line for businesses across our region,” said Valerie Coyazo, Evergy’s Lead Supplier Diversity Manager. “By connecting with more diverse suppliers, business have access to increased innovation, high-quality products and services, and a more resilient and agile supply chain.” 

Evergy’s Supplier Diversity Week is October 30 – November 3. The focus is to highlight the benefits of increasing opportunities for diverse suppliers across the region. There will be programming all week designed for both internal staff and community partners.
