Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I experienced severe depression for about a year. During that time, I would stay in my room and kept the windows closed. Additionally, I sealed the door from beneath due to anxiety, resulting in limited airflow. I rarely went outside and opened the door. Could this situation have led to an increase in harmful gases, or radiation within my room? Is there a possibility of future harm to me due to these factors? Presently, I am not facing any issues. Kindly provide your opinion.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. I would like to inform you that this situation should not have any long-term impact on the body. However, I suggest you ensure proper ventilation in the room for an improved living environment. Lack of exposure to sunlight and fresh air can potentially lead to vitamin D deficiency and other related issues. I suggest you incorporate Omega 3 Fatty Acid soft gels into your routine, as they can be highly beneficial for managing depression. Also, maintain a balanced diet with an adequate intake of carbohydrates and low levels of saturated fats. I suggest you engage in daily exercise for at least half an hour, as physical activity triggers the release of endorphins, which play a significant role in alleviating depression. I suggest you consult a psychiatrist for appropriate medication and guidance. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
