GRR is delighted to present 40 of the world’s current rising stars in restructuring and insolvency, aged under 40.

Six long years after we published our first 40 under 40 list in 2016 it was time to credit a new cohort – and here they are. While our first list only recognised solicitors and barristers, we have broadened our search in 2022 to include restructuring and insolvency specialists on the non-legal advisory side and at lenders and investors, as well as academics, judges and in-house counsel.

Deciding our final list of winners took months of research, starting with a call for independent nominations back in December 2021, then moving on to several rounds of individual questioning. You can see a detailed account of how we did our research below.
