Hurricanes becoming so strong, study proposes Category 6 for the worst
Hurricanes are growing with intensity and power due to climate change, with warming oceans giving more fuel to the storms. A new peer-reviewed study is now arguing that with storms growing in strength, it may be time to reconsider the Saffir-Simpson scale used to classify the hurricanes. But as Sean Previl reports, scientists say there's more to hurricanes than just the wind speed the scale measures and people need to pay attention to warnings and take heed for their own safety.
