Treehouses New Forest: 12 Best Treehouses to Stay In [2024]

by

The New Forest is one of my favourite places to explore, and one of the best ways to do so is to use one of the amazing treehouses in the New Forest as a base.

This is a place to discover wildlife, woodlands and coastline, and there’s a sense of peace and tranquillity everywhere you go.

Staying in a treehouse is one of the most special ways to experience this beautiful area, so I’ve rounded up my favourites to save you the hard work.

So, let’s get stuck in and have a look at the beautiful selection of treehouses that you can stay at in the New Forest.

There are some absolute stunners here, let me tell you!

1. Chewton Glen Treehouse Studio Suite

Price per night: From £995 for 2 guests (includes breakfast)

Location: New Milton

The Chewton Glen Treehouse Studio Suite is the ultimate luxury stay.

This is a place where you and your loved one can spend a night with your head in the clouds, offering a real escape from the world.

The space has been thoughtfully decorated, and it offers plenty of space for you to unwind in luxury, style and comfort.

If you choose to stay here, you’ll be able to hop in your personal hot tub on the terrace deck and watch the canopy of stars unfold above you.

They really have thought of everything here, from underfloor heating for the cooler nights to a free-standing bath with forest views.

Staying here is like bringing the Faraway Tree to life, and I know you’ll love it.

What guests say: “Me and my partner had an amazing time at Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa. We cannot fault anything; great service, beautiful rooms, excellent food and the place is just stunning. The five-star rating is completely justified in my opinion, in fact in my eyes it’s a six-star due to the extra little things they do for you which I’ve not had before anywhere else. I’ve stayed in a lot of five-star hotels over the years both in the UK and abroad and Chewton Glen is by far the best. We stayed in a Treehouse Studio for some privacy and we had just that. We will definitely be going back!”

2. Chewton Glen Treehouse Loft Suite

Price per night: From £1,290 for 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 children (includes breakfast)

The Chewton Glen Treehouse Loft Suite is one of the most magical treehouses in the New Forest, no doubt about it.

The space exudes opulence and luxury, and it’s a super special place to get away.

Having treehouse suites is a first for any UK hotel, reflecting the hotel’s central ethos of innovation and surprise.

It’s the perfect place to go for a family adventure, as it sleeps up to two adults and four children, so there’s plenty of space for everyone!

After a long day of exploring the surroundings, there’s no better way to relax than with a dip in the hot tub under the starry sky.

You’ll be bound to fall head over heels in love with this treehouse!

What guests say: “This is our third visit to Chewton Glen, the second with our twin boys. The treehouses are delightful, but it’s worth noting that if your children are small, it might not be the most appropriate, due to the access to the loft sleeping area being via a steep ladder. There are many lovely things about the hotel. It’s very friendly with the staff going out of their way to assist.”

3. Chewton Glen Treehouse Hideaway Suite

Here you can watch the sunset from the comfort of your own hot tub, enjoying incredible forest views from a tree canopy.

As with all the other Chewton Glen treehouses, this stay comes with breakfast, and there’s also the option to add dinner, so you’ll have everything you need here.
