Homemade pizza

homemade pizza 1

Today I would like to show you my way to go when I`m fancy a quick and easy to make homemade pizza with a fluffy homemade dough. I try to keep this homemade pizza recipe simple and I`m adding my favorite ingredients on it but feel free to add whatever you love.

Historians believe the word pizza originated from Italian and Greek literature. A Latin document written in a small Italian village might be the earliest reference to pizza. In 1905, Americans tasted their pizzeria when Gennaro Lombardi decided to open the first restaurant dealing in this delicacy in North America.

Ingredients

  • 15 tablespoons of warm water
  • 15 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 25g fresh yeast or 7g dry yeast
  • 300gr all purpose flour
  • Ketchup for the base
  • 30gr salami plus other sandwich ham (whatever you fancy)
  • A tin of sliced mushrooms (drained)
  • A tin of sweetcorn (drained)
  • Olives (I cut them in halves)
  • 7-8 cherry tomatoes sliced
  • 30-40gr of grated cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

In bowl put mix the water with the yeast, salt and oil. Add the flour and mix with a fork. When becomes hard to the remaining flour use your hand and knead it for 5-7 minutes.

If you like your pizza base flat you can lay your pizza sheet straight away after kneading.

I personally like the base a little thicker so for this I will put aside the dough for around 30 minutes.

Form  your pizza sheet accordingly to the tray you are using. Spread the ketchup on top and next you would like to drained and chop the vegetables that you want to use.

I always start by putting the ham/salami, mushrooms, tomatoes, olives, sweetcorn, salt, black pepper and last the grated cheese.

Preheat your oven at 180° and put the pizza in the oven for 10-12 minutes.

Enjoy,

D 😊
