MAFS UK star Shona Manderson reveals what REALLY happened off camera with husband Brad Skelly before he was kicked off the show due to 'toxic' behaviour

Married At First Sight UK's Shona Manderson has revealed what really happened off camera with husband Brad Skelly.

The brunette beauty, 31, and Brad, 27, were axed from the E4 show following a series of 'toxic' rows over the past few episodes.

And on Monday, Shona appeared on the 'It’s Not You, It’s Them, But It Might Be You' podcast with LalalaletMeExplain.

She told the dating expert about some of Brad's behaviour that wasn't shown on the Channel 4 show.

Shona started by saying: 'So majority of Bradley's inexcusable behaviour actually happened off camera and there was an incident after our third dinner party which then resulted in the experts intervening and choosing to send us home. And I won't share the details because it's just too much. It's too much for me to go into.

'But something I am happy to share with you is an example of something that didn't make the edit, but it happened in front of people. We were at a second CC and my friend, Laura in the cast, has just been called a gold digger by another cast member, luke.

'And a little bit of context, Bradley throughout the experiment, he's done TV before. So he kept being like "don't do this, don't do that, I'm getting annoyed that you're not listening to me and don't rise to drama. We don't rise to drama. Your yoga vibes and meditation vibes", blah, blah, blah.

'And I'm sat there and my heart's going for Laura and I'm thinking I want to stick up for about hate confrontation, anyway, I do. And as soon as I do, Bradley, let's go off my hand. And he goes. "What the eff are you doing?" And I just freeze and I come like a deer in the headlights you see it in the edit and I kind of like stumble on my words, my argument is rubbish.'

An emotional Shona added: 'I feel really embarrassed. And then he just goes "well done, you made a complete c*** out of yourself there". And I'm just sat there. "Bradley, you can't talk to me like that." I run to the toilet, have a massive panic attack and I have to sit on the couch.

'I give Bradley the floor and I say "can you tell the experts what you just said to me?" And he went oh yeah, "I just called Shona an idiot" and I didn't correct him because that is just exactly how I felt throughout this whole time in the experiment. I just felt like I wanted to protect him.

'I wasn't going to sit there and say, no, you didn't, because I was scared of what everyone else would think. And that was a huge problem in our relationship because I did a lot and a lot of protecting and in that I lost my light.

'I lost my voice because I was so fearful of what everyone else would think of him and that is my lesson that I will never let that happen again.

'So when we got sent home from the experiment, Bradley said that he was behaving that way in the experiment because he felt like a caged animal and it wasn't who he was and he was so sorry and it was all, "I love you, I love you, I love you. I'll be different on the outside." So I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

'We stayed together on the outside for, I think, about five to six weeks and the same behaviour continued. He was exactly the same person. It was the listing, it was the harsh criticism, it was belittling me, like making me feel so small and questioning myself.

Shona continued: 'And it got to the point where I just doubted my every word, like constantly gaslighting me and asking me questions and I just felt like he was constantly going in on me and then one day… and I was thinking, Shona, everything in your body is saying that this is wrong, like why, why are you still with this person?

'And then he called me one day and he just said, "the way I feel about you is so mental, it's so crazy, but like I don't love you, I just lust you and I think you're really sexy and I think it's physical for me, but like I still want to be with you" and I was like what? I just woke the hell up.'

It comes as Shona and Brad, 27, were axed from the E4 show following a series of 'toxic' rows over the past few episodes.

During Wednesday's episode, the married couple were told by experts Paul C Brunson and Mel Schilling they were getting booted off the show due to the level of toxicity in their relationship.

But viewers were left confused when the pair vowed to 'try and make things work', even though they were told to leave the show for good.

Paul made the brutal telling that the pair were axed which didn't go down well, with Shona and Brad insisting they really wanted to stay.

Despite Shona pleading for another chance to stay, Brad said: 'Leaving is the best option for us to give us a chance. I feel caged, that's why it has become toxic'.

As the group finally understood it could be the right thing to do, Shona said: He [Brad] has things he needs to work on, I need things I need to work on. I believe it is the right decision to go.

Since quitting the E4 show, Brad has accused TV producers of turning him into a villain as he reveals: 'I was deeply unhappy filming the show.'

The model was slammed on his time in the series after displaying 'controlling' and 'coercive' behaviour towards Shona.

However, Brad believes viewers saw unfairly edited scenes featuring the couple as footage of them 'laughing' and 'joking' failed to make the cut, and he feels producers wanted to portray a negative narrative.

He also admits watching the series has been 'difficult' given he was in a dark place while filming but has no issue with his former wife who he describes as 'a great girl.

MailOnline exclusively revealed that Brad and Shona had called it quits shortly after leaving the show, with Brad not wasting a second to strike up a a new romance with a bridal model.

The father-of-one was seen kissing new girlfriend Hollie Baldwin, 25, at the VIP Scarefest launch at Alton Towers last week.

A source told MailOnline: 'It wasn't long after Brad was axed from Married At First Sight UK that he and Shona went their separate ways, it was clear from the process that their relationship was never going to work.

'Brad and Hollie know each other from their hometown and connected instantly, they were kissing in front of the other MAFS UK cast on Friday night, they weren't holding anything back.

'Hollie didn't pose for any of the official photographs at the launch event as Brad was keen not to give away that his marriage with Shona is over.

'But they are an item and looked really loved up.'

Brad confirmed the romance on the Fully Game podcast, saying : 'We couldn't be happier. I've never felt a connection better than what I've got with Hollie.'
