Big Brother's Farida insists she 'has NO regrets' over calling MS-sufferer Kerry 'lazy' - despite sparking fury over 'gross and dated' comment about her disabled nemesis: 'It's a reflection of her own behaviour'

Big Brother star Farida has explosively insisted she has 'no regrets' about calling disabled housemate Kerry 'lazy''.

The make-up artist, 50, has come under fire for her 'insensitive' comments made in the Diary Room last week about NHS manager Kerry, 40, who has multiple sclerosis.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline Farida, who was the first housemate to be evicted on Friday, said about her beef with Kerry: 'It was very very frustrating. I could sort of see what she was doing. Her energy really felt like it wasn't the top person I would on a normal day-to-day mix with.'

'She would make up stories and then come over to you, get you involved, in a topic and say: 'Farida what do you think about this?' and then the minute you give your opinion she twists it.'

'The truth is that's a reflection of her own behaviour,' she added.

'It is a social experiment and there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking questions,' she continued.

Farida head to head with nemesis Kerry on Friday night - with the former booted out from the ITV show following the public vote.

During last week's task - where the contestants worked for a fictional company chaired by Big Brother, with Big Wigs, Middle Management and Bottoms - Farida accused Kerry of not getting involved in the physicality of the tasks.

During her visit to the Diary Room, Farida said: 'Kerry is the lazy one. No help with the washing up, drying, cutting or with the vegetables. Yeah she might be proud she's been promoted because she's even higher than Middle Management now...

'That title will make her feel extremely honoured however I hope it's full of counting and rather than working her mouth, working her mindset, her brain, her hands'.

Farida's aim at the NHS worker led to an explosion on X, formerly known as Twitter, as viewers grumbled over her 'reinforcing stereotypes over disabled people'.

Enraged viewers branded Farida 'out of order', 'disgusting' and 'ignorant' for her comments, writing: 'Nothing winds me up more than the lazy rhetoric. Don't know the level of pain, fatigue etc a person is feeling at that moment in time'.

The NHS website states: 'Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance.

'It's a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability. Symptoms include fatigue, difficulty walking, muscle stiffness and spasms, problems with balance and co-ordination and problems with thinking, learning and planning'.

Viewers wrote: 'People somehow more annoyed by Kerry being Gemma Collins (which I guess is purely based on her being big and from Essex, so prejudice), but not by Farida being casually insulting about Kerry’s disabilities and physical issues...

'Did Farida just call a #MS sufferer lazy?!? #Ableism #BigBrother... Farida trying to turn everyone against Kerry for not helping with chores is the same sort of ableism that paints disabled people who can’t work as lazy. Absolutely gross...

'Like what are you contributing in terms of support or morale Farida? Yeah exactly #BBUK... Sure she isn’t chopping veg or cleaning but she is making sure everyone’s feeling emotionally supported and valued isn’t she...

'Farida needs to leave! Absolutely disgusting women and bullying someone with MS!!... Fair enough, but as a disabled person myself, nothing winds me up more than the lazy rhetoric. Don’t know the level of pain, fatigue etc a person is feeling...

'Farida calling someone with a disability, specifically MS lazy... I don't rate Kerry and I have defended Farida before because she's faced some unfair criticism but come ON you can't call someone with MS lazy are you joking me like do you think the scooter is for fun or what...

'Farida doesn't sound like a very nice person, to say that about someone with MS is horrible, everytime some of the house mates are talking she takes over every time...

'Not Farida calling Kerry who has MS lazy... Not farida calling kerry lazy when she has MS... Farida clearly doesn’t understand what MS is or how it affects the body. So ignorant when talking about Kerry #BBUK...

'Not Farida talking about the woman living with MS being lazy in the diary room... farida complaining that kerry, a woman with MS, is “lazy” is not a good look... Farida calling Kerry, who has MS, lazy was so out of order actually...

'How is Kerry lazy she has MS! And as for Kerry working her mouth I dunno how Farida dares she gets involved in everyone’s business constantly shouting over people! #bbuk... Farida does know Kerry has MS???..

Rage: She later took aim at Kerry for not getting involved in the physicality of the tasks, such as tasks in the kitchen, leading to an explosion on X, formerly known as Twitter , as viewers grumbled over her 'reinforcing stereotypes over disabled people'

'Why is she being shamed for not doing physical tasks??... Farida love, kerry has MS'.

Other users however hit back at the accusations, writing: 'What?! You all come into the big brother house as equals, so you're all going to have to chip in, I understand Kerry's MS but Farida was hardly talking about Kerry's disabilities...

'Regardless of the person I would expect them to help out as much as they can.... Kerry is capable of doing more tho equality means that we shouldn’t infantilise people with MS nobody is asking her to do more than what her disability allows...

'But she is mostly complaining/getting angry and starting dramas. Farida is just honest and Kerry hides her true feelings.'

Viewers watched in delight on Thursday as Farida and Kerry struggled through yet another awkward interaction.

During the exchange Muslim make-up artist Farida discussed her work online where she offers beauty tips with thousands of followers tuning in. Only for unimpressed Kerry to interrupt and ask: 'To watch you?'.

A defiant Farida replied: 'Yeah! My video all go viral. I've got like 300, 400,000 views just on one video'. Kerry seemingly feigned interest before throwing back her head in frustration an letting out a sigh.

After being evicted, the make-up artist jumped up and down and flung her arms in the air as she shouted: 'Yes!'

She proceeded to hug her fellow housemates before making a swift exit to meet show hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best.

An excited Farida said: 'I had the most amazing time. Thank you everybody for making the effort and coming tonight.'

Speaking to hosts AJ and Will immediately after her eviction, Farida said: 'I'm fabulous! How many of you lot would like a week in that house? Well, I've been there. It's priceless!

'Kerry really, really wanted to be in there. She was in floods of tears, desperate to stay in there. I was quite happy to be out.'

Upon learning that Hallie, Jenkin, Paul, Tom, Henry, Kerry and Olivia had all nominated for her eviction for various reasons based around her opinions and behaviour in the house, she remarked that their views did not matter to her.

She insisted she's not 'fake' as some suggested. She said: 'That's fine, they've known me for five or six days. Their opinion doesn't matter. I'm very very true to myself.

'I would never be fake. People who know me would say that.'

The TikTok star did add that she 'couldn't understand' her housemate Kerry as she insisted that her fellow eviction nominee would not be the kind of person she would socialise with outside of the house.

She said: 'I couldn't understand Kerry's tantrums. She's a 40-year-old, grown woman and I tried to understand it today.

'She did tell me she's a drama queen and she's probably not the type of person I'd mix with in life because I've got a life! To have another week in the house for me would be too much for me!'

And Farida didn't leave the house without offering a final parting shot to her co-star turned nemesis ahead of her eviction.

Farida insisted that the reason behind her exit was due to the fact she was the oldest in the house - and claimed the younger housemates had plotted to get her out due to her age.

One of Big Brother's main rules is that housemates are not allowed to discuss who they are planning to or have nominated for eviction so they is no way the group could have 'plotted' against her.

Kerry appeared offended by Farida's comments and responded by telling her that her closest friends in the house were Hallie, 18, and Olivia, 23.

Farida hit back and insisted that she was only 'trying' to be friends with the young cast, much like a mother who tries to befriend their son or daughter.

Farida said Kerry wants to create a 'social bond' with Olivia and is behaving like their 'mum', causing Kerry to storm away from the conversation.

Their frosty exchange comes after the nomination results were revealed and Farida accused the younger housemates of grouping together to vote out the older cast.

She told Kerry, 40: 'All the youngsters stuck together and they got out the oldest people.'
