Two teenage boy have been injured in a suspected stabbing near a college in east London.

The Met Police were called at 1.56pm to reports of a stabbing on Prince Regent Lane near Newham Sixth Form College.

The officers arrived to find two boys in their mid-teens - one with a stab wound to his upper arm, and the other with a cut to his face.

Neither injury is believed to be life-threatening, police said.

London Ambulance Service have said: 'We sent multiple resources to the scene, including three ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager, medics in two fast response cars and members of our tactical response unit.

'We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

'We treated two patients at the scene before taking them to hospital as a priority.'

No arrests have been made yet but a crime scene is in place. 

The Met police have said inquiries are ongoing.
