Operation Saturation

On October 19th, the Clay County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the State's Violent Crime Task Force, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Alcohol Control Beverage Agents and the West Point Police Department again conducted Operation Saturation that resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals on various crimes of weapons, illegal narcotics, outstanding warrants and various traffic violations. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that these operations are being conducted due to the recent gun violence within our city and county in an attempt to make it a safer place to live.

Arrested were:

Stacy Bradshaw, age 45, charged with Possession of Cocaine, Reckless Driving and Tinted Windows

Jacarius Hendricks, age 21, charged with DUI - 1st and No Insurance

Dominique Sparks, age 31, charged No DL, Possession of Marijuana in Vehicle and a Clay County Justice Court Bench Warrant

Jaylen Cungious age 23, charged with DUI-1st, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana, Vehicle

Bennie Jones, Jr. age 27, charged with DUI-1st

Reginald Cooperwood, age 41, charged with DUI-1st and Careless Driving

Jarvis Moore age 27, charged with DUI -Other, SB Violation, No License Tag, No Insurance, Driving with Suspended License and Fleeing Arrest

Malachi Minor age 19, charged with DUI-Other

Michael Story age 26, charged with DUI-1st

Lance Smith age 39, charged with DUI-1st and Driving with Suspended License

Clayton Brown age 26, charged with DUI-2nd, No Insurance, and Driving with Suspended License

Lapatrick Bean age 38, charged with DUI-1st and No Insurance

Daquan McFarland age 26, charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and a West Point Municipal Court Bench Warrant

Barretta Fears, age 43, charged with 2 West Point Municipal Court Bench Warrants

 

Sheriff Eddie Scott stated that this operation helped remove firearms, illegal narcotics and drunk drivers from our roadways.
