Explore These Exciting Playgrounds in Naperville

These impressive playgrounds are designed to delight kids of various ages.

Naperville is consistently ranked among the top cities to raise a family in the country, and we have a sneaking suspicion it may have to do with some of the awesome playgrounds it boasts.

From rock climbing walls to giant musical instruments, here are Naperville playgrounds sure to impress kids of all ages.

Knoch Knolls Nature Center and Park

If you are visiting the Knoch Knolls Nature Center, don’t skip a trip to impressive children’s playground adjacent to the building. The nature-themed playground boasts unique equipment for kids ages 2 to 12. Climbers will enjoy making it to the top of a huge climbing web and going down a slide that can only be accessed from the top of a rock-climbing wall. A flying disc and log tunnel are perfect options for younger kiddos.

Wolf’s Crossing Community Park

Voted Best of the Best Park District Facility in DuPage County, the playground at Wolf’s Crossing has something for everyone. Older climbers can go through climbing arches or hop on a zipline. Next to the main playground is a tot playground, complete with sensory equipment, a mini climbing bridge and a slide. We love the set of outdoor musical instruments where children can play giant drums and xylophones.

95th Street Playground

This storybook-themed playground is a nod to the 95th Street Library located right next door. Here, young bookworms and explorers will love the unique, detailed playground equipment – the stairs are made in the shape of books and a pretend playboat is made out of pages. Kids can crawl through an apple tunnel that was gnawed through by a bookworm, climb on a giant whale or go down a slide made of a tree trunk. There’s also a large climbing web for kids to put their coordination and strength to the test.

Wil-O-Way Commons Park

Renovated earlier this summer, the equipment for the brand-new playground at Wil-O-Way Commons Park was chosen in part thanks to local residents. Through completing surveys, they helped to select some of the features at the playground, including a twist net climber, inclusive spinner, see-saw and athletic arch. A crowd favorite at the big kid structure includes an arch climber, where kids can go over, around and through suspended triangle shaped rings.
