With the holidays approaching, we can’t help but think about all the yummy desserts – cookies, cakes and, of course, pie. If you’re looking for the perfect pie in Chicagoland, we’ve got you covered!

Bakers Square

This restaurant and bakery chain serves food and signature pies. The pie flavors are cherry, country apple, French silk, coconut cream, harvest pumpkin, lemon supreme, lemon meringue, peach, Southern pecan, triple berry, strawberry rhubarb and reduced sugar apple. If you eat at the restaurant on a Wednesday and purchase an entrée and a beverage, you’ll receive a free slice of pie. It also serves pie only at a Famous Dave’s location in Orland Park.

The pie menu features apple blackberry, key lime, German chocolate, pumpkin goat cheesecake and apple cider doughnut. It also has Chicken Pot Pies and Southern Tomato Pot Pies. Get the pies as a whole pie, half pie or slice of pie.

DeEtta’s Bakery

DeEtta’s hand-formed crust pies are filled with seasonal fruits and fillings. The pie flavors include apple, cherry, banana cream, chocolate cream, coconut cream, lemon cream, key lime, mixed berry and other seasonal flavors. It also serves cakes, cupcakes, pastries, breads, cookies and bars.

First Slice Pie Café

The fruit pie flavors are Michigan Sour Cherry pie, balsamic raspberry pear pie and traditional apple pie. The cream pie flavors are French silk pie, Polka dot pie, chocolate cream pie, chocolate mint pie, chocolate peanut butter pie, coffee toffee pie and key lime pie. It also serves salads, sandwiches, quiches, soups and cheesecake. For the kids, it has a kids chicken tenders, kids grilled cheese and kids macaroni and cheese.

Franklins Pie Co.

This neighborhood café specializes in scratch-made pies in flavors like “Apple of My Eye,” “Triple Berry,” “Nana’s Banana Cream” and “The Cherry on Top.” You can order pies by the slice, half or whole pie. It also offers gluten-free banana cream and apple pies (by the whole pie only).

Happy Apple Pie Shop

This pie shop is a blended work environment where people with developmental and intellectual disabilities work to create the pies. Apple pie is always on the menu and then two other pies reflect the season. They also have pot pies and quiches, too.

Honeypie Bakeshop Chicago

All of the fruit pies are baked in hand-rolled Milwaukee butter dough and include caramel apple, blueberry, cherry berry, Door Country cherry, peach blueberry, classic apple cinnamon, peach, apple cherry and mixed-up berries. The cream pie flavors are all topped with real whipped cream and come in flavors banana cream, cookies and cream, chocolate cream, banana caramel, black bottom banana cream, pistachio cream, coconut cream, coffee cream and mocha cookie cream.

Hoosier Mama Pie Company

This artisanal bakery makes its pies by hand and offers different pies each day, including a featured pie of the month. Some of the pies include classic apple, pumpkin, Hoosier sugar cream, chocolate cream and apple blueberry with walnut crumble.

Justice of the Pies 👑 (Our Readers’ Favorite!) 

This bakery specializes in savory pies, tarts and quiches. Owner Maya-Camille Broussard opened Justice of the Pies in honor of her late father, Stephen J. Broussard – a defense attorney with a love for baking. Stop in for a pie or order ahead online and have it delivered. Some of the pie flavors are salted caramel peach pie, caramel apple crumble pie, bleu cheese praline pear pie, Bourbon pecan pie and German chocolate pecan pie.

Pie Guys Bakery & Café

Try the key lime pie, sweet potato pie, apple pie or peach cobbler pie at this Black-owned business. Be sure to check the website for daily specials and order ahead for breakfast and lunch.

Pie, Pie My Darling

The vegan desserts are made fresh from scratch. Although they’re more of a “cake shop,” it makes pie around Thanksgiving time. Make sure to order the pies in advance.

PoundCake Bakery

Order your pies here 24-48 hours in advance. They come in flavors apple, banana cream, cherry, key lime, pumpkin, apple crumb, blackberry, mixed berry, sweet potato, chocolate peanut butter, pecan, death by chocolate, blueberry and caramel apple.

Royal Pies

These British-inspired savory pies come in flavors Steak and Ale Pie, Cold Pork Pie, Chicken Balti Pie and Mushroom and Kale Pie. Royal Pies also has a steak pastry that is a hand pie with steak, potato, onion, rutabaga and black pepper.

This bakery in the Hemingway District is co-owned by a sister team – Molly and Meg Svec. The spot offers many homemade pies, cookies, pastries and beverages. The sisters’ favorite pie flavors are key lime and Heirloom apple pie, but they offer many others that are in rotation.

Spinning J Bakery and Soda Fountain

This bakery serves pie daily, but the menu is always changing. Call ahead if you want to know what pie they have that day. It also serves sodas and palmers with soda syrups that are made in-house. You can make any of them a float with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Sweet Mandy B’s 👑 (Our Readers’ Favorite!)

This bakery serves old-fashioned desserts at two locations in Chicago. You can order ahead or walk in to order. Some of the pie flavors include pumpkin, apple streusel, chocolate cream, banana cream and key lime. Be sure to check out the changing seasonal desserts as well. 

The Supreme Bean Pie

This dessert is made from navy beans, brown sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg. All of the ingredients are natural and have no preservatives. They come in 8-inch or 4-inch options.
