Ken-Friends Event in Sheffield, March 2002

A large group of Ken-Friends, members of the email discussion group, gathered in Sheffield on the weekend of 23 March, to see Richard III and to meet each other. Close to 130 friends from 14 countries had the privilege of attending a Question & Answer session with director Michael Grandage and actors Kenneth Branagh, Gerard Horan and Jimmy Yuill.

The Crucible Theatre graciously donated a framed poster, signed by all the cast, in support of the Ken-Friends fundraising for UAYD. Raffle tickets were sold and the lucky winner of the poster was Tanya Graham. The proceeds from the ticket sale, combined with those from an auction of Branagh-related items (donated by Ken-Friends, along with posters from Schneider's 2nd Stage, donated by its director Phil Stoole) raised over £ 1,500.
