  1. Rattlesnake Ledge Trail
    Moderate4.7(21928)
    #1 - Rattlesnake Ledge Trail
    Length: 5.3 miEst. 3h 4m
Located only a short 30 minute drive from downtown Bellevue and less than an hour away from Seattle, the climb up to the Rattlesnake Ledges is a very popular hiking trail in the summer months. Not only does this trail provide great panoramic views from atop Rattlesnake Ridge, but there is also a great park located below. Many people come to enjoy the lake in the warmer months. There are no motorboats or fishing allowed on the lake, making it an ideal destination for kayakers and...
  2. Mount Si Trail
    Hard4.7(14102)
    #2 - Mount Si Trail
    Length: 7.9 mi
The Mount Si Trail is one of the most popular trails in Washington, and for good reason. Less than an hour from Seattle, the summit offers incredible views of the Snoqualmie River Valley and the surrounding area. There is a very large parking area at the trailhead, but it does fill up on warm weekends. Per usual, it’s best to arrive early. A Discover Pass is required. The hike is hard enough to be a challenge, but not so difficult that weekend warriors can’t climb it. The trail is almost...
  3. Twin Falls Trail
    Moderate4.7(10575)
    #3 - Twin Falls Trail
    Length: 2.5 miEst. 1h 22m
The Twin Falls Trail is a lovely hike, weaving through lush vegetation, eventually reaching a series of large waterfalls. With its moderate difficulty, and ease of access from I-90, this trail is great for families. Twin Falls can be accessed via the Twin Falls Trailhead off of Exit 34, or from the east via the Homestead Valley Trailhead (Exit 38). Most people choose the mapped route on this page, the Twin Falls Trailhead. The route sets out eastward along the South Fork Snoqualmie River....
  4. Little Si Trail
    Moderate4.6(11238)
    #4 - Little Si Trail
    Length: 3.6 miEst. 2h 14m
Little Si is the little sister to Mount Si. The trail is easier with less elevation, but the view from the top is just as breathtaking with views of Snoqualmie Valley and Rattlesnake Mountain. The trail is often covered in snow and difficult to trek through much of the year and many hikers suggest this as a summer hike. The beginning section is the steepest part, so don’t get disheartened! The trail is well-traveled and marked with signs. You will likely see rock climbers along the...
  5. Mailbox Peak Trail Loop
    Hard4.7(7035)
#5 - Mailbox Peak Trail Loop
    Length: 7.7 mi
Mailbox Peak Loop is a challenging hike in the North Bend area that combines the Old Trail with the New Trail created by the Department of Natural Resources. The Old Trail is very challenging with sharp inclines all the way up through the forest. The trail was easy to follow until about 3000 feet where it gets covered by falling pines and leaves. Luckily the White Diamond Trail markers are well placed and easy to follow. Once the Old Trail meets the New Trail it's pretty straightforward from...
  6. Dirty Harry's Balcony via Birdhouse Trail
    Moderate4.6(5686)
#6 - Dirty Harry's Balcony via Birdhouse Trail
    Length: 4.2 miEst. 2h 38m
This is a great option for those looking for a quick escape from the city. Just a short drive from Seattle, Dirty Harry's Balcony has incredible views of the valley and nearby mountain peaks. For a relatively short hike compared to other trails in the area, the payoff at the end of this trail is well worth the effort.
  7. Teneriffe Falls Trail
    Hard4.6(5662)
    #7 - Teneriffe Falls Trail
    Length: 5.7 mi
This is a steep and challenging trail to a beautiful waterfall. The trail is very steep and rocky towards the end, sturdy footwear and trekking poles are recommended. The best time to visit the falls is during the spring or after heavy rain when the falls are flowing the strongest. Snow and ice is common on the trail in the winter.
  8. Mailbox Peak Trail
    Hard4.7(3807)
    #8 - Mailbox Peak Trail
    Length: 10.3 miEst. 7h 12m
Mailbox Peak Trail takes you to the summit of Mailbox Peak and offers beautiful panoramic views of the area. This route follows the new trail that was created by the Department of Natural Resources. The view at the top is breathtaking, especially on a clear day, with views of Mount Rainier and the Middle Fork Valley below. To return, take the New Mailbox Peak Trail back down to the parking area.
  9. Mailbox Peak (Old) Trail
    Hard4.7(4108)
#9 - Mailbox Peak (Old) Trail
    Length: 4.8 mi
The old Mailbox Peak Trail is a steep trail leading from the Mailbox Peak Trailhead to the summit. It is unforgiving, there are no switchbacks to be found. It is mostly wooded until around the 2-mile mark where things open up and there are views of the surrounding mountains. For hikers looking for an easier route to the summit, consider this trail: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/mailbox-peak-new-trail--2
  10. Mount Washington Trail
    Hard4.4(2809)
    #10 - Mount Washington Trail
    Length: 7.9 miEst. 5h 42m
The best route off the interstate is to take exit 38 to reach the trailhead. The trail climbs through the forest and passes a steep rocky outcropping about a half mile from the trailhead. This spot is popular with rock climbers and you may notice climbing hardware hanging from the cliff. As you ascend you are rewarded with some views, the summit has a perfect view of Mt. Rainier.

Little Si Trail
Great trail condition— went on a Sunday. May of been less busy due to it being a holiday weekend but found parking in the main lot and not overly crowded. All dog owners were respectful!!! Our corgi did amazing on this hike and lots of side space to pass people!

Mailbox Peak Trail Loop
We arrived around 9:30am on Memorial Day and parked a little down the road as the lot was full. We took the new trail up and it was wide, gentle switchbacks and not terribly muddy. Very well marked trail. Views from the boulder field to the summit were great - even with some clouds rolling in. We took the old, steep trail down and not bad although muddier. Beautiful hike!

Dirty Harry's Balcony via Birdhouse Trail
Great trail as always. Muddy as of 5/26, so a bit slippery on the way down. Wear shoes with grip!
